This flange mounted rotary damper was initially developed as a rate limiting device in an aircraft flight control system. It is a compact, rugged unit suitable for many applications to absorb vibration or limit velocity. Damping is variable over a wide range by means of an external adjusting screw. This damper can be furnished in both temperature compensated and non temperature compensated models. A visual indicator shows the amount of reserve fluid. Units can be furnished with special valving to modify the shape of the damping curve. Special modifications are available to order (including 2700 rotation).
